Intro to Drawing - Three Consecutive Sessions September 21st, 28th, and October 5th 1-4pm

$98.00

September 21st, 28th, and October 5th 1-5pm
Instructor: Linden

Intro to Drawing

This 3 week class is intended for all level drawing students. Whether you never thought you could draw, want to brush up on your skills or make some new friends with similar interests this class is for you. Not a ‘follow my example’ kind of class but a ‘find what feels right for you’ class, a time to play and explore in a non-judgemental atmosphere.

I will introduce a beginning student to the language and tools of drawing. We will cover sketching; both quick and long studies, shading, composition, and perspective. For my former students I will continue your learning experience with new information and activities. Classes will be indoors unless there is an exceptionally beautiful day to explore drawing in the park.

WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS:

  • 1 each: HB, 2B, 4B Pencil

  • 1 Lg Kneaded Eraser

  • 1 White vinyl, sharp edged eraser

ABOUT THIS INSTRUCTOR:

Linden is a member of the Lunaria Gallery here in town and also the Imogen Gallery in Astoria. Linden holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Pacific Northwest College of Art (1998) and an Associate of Arts with High Honors from Clatsop Community College (1996). She is a passionate educator and artist, Linden founded The Linden Tree in Benicia, California, where from 2000 to 2005 they taught classes in Drawing, Figure Drawing, Sculpture, and Painting to students of all ages. As a certified instructor with Pathways and Sonoma Charter Schools, Linden created a welcoming and creative environment that encouraged artistic growth in both children, teens and adults.
