Mike Turner
President
Michael Turner is an independent filmmaker and the creator of the award-winning autobiographical documentaries The Way We Talk (2016) and Monument (2023), which have screened around the world in many languages. He is a past Oregon Media Arts Fellow and has worked with The Immigrant Story, the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education, and many other impactful organizations.
Anna Coleman
Treasurer
Anna is a lifelong Oregonian with a passion for art that began with her grandma Sunny and learning the basics of watercolors while traveling on a converted bus to art shows all along the West Coast. That love of creativity has continued with a focus on fiber arts these days- embroidery, cross-stitch, and crochet. A mom of 2 little young kids, keeping art accessible and approachable for all ages is what drove her to join the Board.
Mike Baggetta

Mike is an award-winning contemporary fine artist and has exhibited his artwork throughout the country and in regional galleries. Michael is also a long time board member for Art In The Pearl Fine Art & Crafts Festival in Portland, and also has a business transporting and installing fine art for Portland area collectors, college galleries, and non-profit organizations.

Jonathan Case
Board Member
Jonathan Case is an award-winning author/illustrator whose work includes original graphic novels published around the world. His 2022 book, Little Monarchs, was a best book of the year from NPR, School Library Journal, and many others. Jonathan creates paintings, illustrations, and stories for companies like Disney, DC, Cartoon Network, Valve Software, and more. He lives near the Arts Center in Silverton with his family.

Kate Durrant
Board Member
Kate led the Borland Gallery's 2023 transformation. Kate is a community health nurse, mixed media artist, and lucky Silverton transplant. She is excited to be a part of the revitalization of the Art Center.
In addition to her work on the Borland Gallery transformation, Kate is responsible for Programming oversight. She works hand in hand with our Programming Director to ensure that classes and workshops meet the needs of our community. In her spare time she reads memoirs and tends to the whims of her dogs.
Simone Stewart
Board Member
A Performing Artist for over 40 years, Simone is an advocate for the arts and arts programs. She has served on nonprofit boards for 25 years including serving as: Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the City of Medford Arts Commission; Board of Directors of Film Southern Oregon; Communications Chair of the Downtown Medford Association, Board President and Chairperson of the Women’s Leadership Conference of Southern Oregon; Board Secretary for Collaborative Theatre Project, President of the Talent, Oregon Chamber of Commerce's Talent Business Alliance; and is a member of the Silverton Rotary Club. Simone is the current Executive Director of the Silverton 50+ Center.

Kahlia Waters
Silverton Arts Festival Manager
Kahlia is a landscape designer by day and new painter.
With a background in landscape design, Kahlia brings a thoughtful eye for composition, texture, and environment into everything she does. Her artistic practice reflects this sensibility, blending natural inspiration with a hands-on, exploratory approach.
Kahlia also serves as the Festival Manager for the Silverton Arts Festival, where she is helping interface between artists, performers, and the community for one of the region’s most loved regional events. In addition, she is a familiar and welcoming presence at the Borland Community Arts Space, where she gallery sits on Thursdays and Sundays from 2–5 PM—always ready to connect visitors with the art and energy of the space.
Whether she’s shaping landscapes, supporting artists, or helping produce vibrant community experiences, Kahlia is passionate about creating spaces—both physical and creative—where people can gather, explore, and be inspired.
Anne Pinkowski

Anne is an artist who transforms found objects into captivating sculptures illuminated with neon—the same vibrant neon you see in iconic signs! Her innovative works have been exhibited nationally, earning numerous awards for their creativity and originality. As a member of Lunaria Gallery, her pieces are on display for all to enjoy right here in Silverton.
Beyond her fine art sculptures, Anne also creates stunning works in mosaic and stained glass. Passionate about fostering creativity in her community, she volunteers her time leading Arts Programming at the Silverton Arts Association.
