Intro to Stained Glass Assembly - Monstera Madness

In this 4 hour class, you will learn how to use the Tiffany method of foiling, gain guided experience with soldering technique, learn how to frame with lead came, and how to properly clean and polish stained glass. Each student will receive and work with a pre-cut and ground glass kit of the design pictured. All materials are included.

At the beginning of class, we will cover best safety practices working with stained glass, and briefly cover the tools and materials you will be using before diving in. Since this is a 4 hour workshop, please bring your lunch to eat during a 30 minute break. We do have a refrigerator to store your lunch during class.

Please note that since all designs are cut in advance, this class has a 5 day cancellation policy. If you need to cancel beyond this time period for any reason, you will only be permitted a refund if your seat can be filled.

WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS:

  • All materials are included - just bring your creativity and a positive attitude.

  • Lunch

  • Apron

We are THRILLED to offer this class as an "Art for All" offering.  What does this mean? The Silverton Art Center applied for, and was awarded, a grant that allows us to offer classes to the community at a reduced cost. Part of the cost of this class is SUBSIDIZED by a grant from Lynn’s Smile Fund of Oregon, through Oregon Community Foundation.

ABOUT THIS INSTRUCTOR:
