Instructor: Megan Smith

Four Weeks

Materials Included in Fee

Let’s explore creating lasting color on cottons, using sustainable practices and natural materials found in our backyard. Together, we’ll prepare recycled cotton fabrics, gather plant materials, and dye four seasonal colors. Then, we’ll cut up our fabrics and explore improvisational sewing techniques and simple quilting techniques. Each participant will create a unique, fun table runner or wall hanging. Student work will be featured at the Borland Gallery.

Skill level: Beginning - Basic sewing skills recommended, but not required.

Led by Megan Smith of Quiltsmith Studio (@quiltsmithstudio). Megan employs a collaborative approach to the creative process, encouraging shared experience and wisdom that enriches our artistic journey.
