CLASSES AND PROGRAMMING

Welcome to our Art Center's Programming page!

Classes are developed to teach you about tools and materials with the objective of creating a finished piece. These typically require a larger time commitment but as a result, most individuals should be able to complete your piece in the time that has been allocated.

Workshops focus on practical skills that can be learned in a shorter amount of time.  They allow you to experience working in a given medium without investing a lot of time and/or money.

Open Studio events are opportunities for the community to come together to create art together as your schedule allows.  Open Studio time is a great way to build communities of practice for given mediums. Bring your own materials and come to a drop in Open Studio offering. No registration is required.

COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY
Occasionally the Silverton Arts Association may find it necessary to cancel a course or workshop due to low enrollment or other scheduling conflicts. If this occurs, registered students will be contacted and allowed to transfer to another class or be refunded the full course tuition and any additional fees.

STUDENT CANCELLATION POLICY
Students will receive a full refund of tuition and fees if the request to withdraw is no later than seven days prior to the first class session. A request to withdraw from a course less than seven days prior to the first class session will not be eligible for tuition and fee refunds.

If you register for a class or workshop within seven days of the class, the cancellation policy will automatically forfeit your right to a refund if you then withdraw from the class. By registering and paying for the class you are agreeing to this cancellation policy.

Silverton Arts Association has been providing quality art instruction to the local and regional community for more than 3 decades.

S.A.A. sponsors art-related classes and workshops for children and adults, including life drawing, portrait painting, woodcarving, printmaking and watercolors.
