As we near the end of 2025 at Silverton Arts, we want to highlight some of the great work our community did this year!

• We partnered with the Pride Festival to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ neighbors.

• We reopened the Park House to run art camps and classes for youth!

• We served a record number of Silver Falls School District students with art instruction (over 1,000), many of them celebrated at our Spring Youth Art Shows.

• We brought in new teachers in stained glass, origami, drawing, and many more disciplines.

• We formed a new committee to help bring back the Silverton Arts Festival in 2026 — including contracting with Kahlia Waters to Coordinate with Festival Artists and Volunteers!

• We brought in new community partners to help fund projects like the classroom, kitchen, and bathroom remodels in our main building (big thanks to the many members who volunteered)!

• We ran our third annual Silver Falls Film Festival at the Palace Theater, featuring films from around the world and right here in Silverton — with several of them made by kids at our summer art camps!

• We were awarded almost $27,000 in grants from partners like Marion County Development Corp, Oregon Community Foundation, the Andy Ulven Foundation, and Roundhouse.

There was so much more, and so many to thank for this work — so to all who contributed, whether as a volunteer, a board member, a student, or a community partner, thank you. 2026 is set to be another great year for Silverton Arts, and we can’t wait to see you at the Art Center!

A NOTE FROM THE SAA BOARD

We’re very pleased to announce new board officers for Silverton Arts! 

Michael Turner, who has served as Secretary for the last two years, will step into the role of Board President, while Anna Coleman and Michael Baggetta will serve as Treasurer and Secretary, respectively. Outgoing officers Jonathan Case (President) and Megan Smith (Treasurer) are actively working to onboard their replacements, and Jonathan will continue to serve on the board to ensure a smooth transition.
