SUMMER CAMPS LAUNCHED!

It’s happening!

We are excited to announce that early bird registration is now open for the SIX Summer Arts Camps, hosted at the Silverton Art Center. Due to the overwhelming popularity of our initial camp, we have expanded our offerings to accommodate more participants. We are incredibly grateful for your amazing support and interest in our work!

INTRODUCING OUR AMAZING ART TEACHERS!

Michele Stone Finicle will be teaching during two sessions: June 10th-14th and July 22nd-26th. During the furlough week, the theme will focus on Nature Art. Participants can look forward to engaging in nature scavenger hunts, fun games, and exploring various art mediums.

Mike Turner will be teaching July 8th-12th and July 22nd-26th. We are thrilled to have our board members sharing their creative knowledge in the classroom and Silverton is certainly lucky to have Mike teaching our first ever film camp! Who knows… maybe your child will create a film for the next Silver Falls Film Festival.

Samantha Kirkpatrick will be teaching July 8th-12th and July 22nd-26th. Samantha brings incredible excitement to our classroom and has tossed around a lot of different theme ideas for her two weeks of camp but… we’re keeping them all a secret!

ART for ALL Adult Workshops

The next four adult workshops are ART FOR ALL offerings!

What does this mean? The Silverton Art Center applied for, and was awarded, a grant that allows us to offer classes to the community at a reduced cost. The same grant that is funding the summer arts camps (Lynn’s Smile Fund of Oregon), is SUBSIDIZING a portion of the class fee and/or the materials for these adult classes: Blossoms in Acrylic, Intro to Watercolor, the ever-popular Zentangle Drawing Practice, and Gelli Plate Printing Extravaganza!
