You may have noticed the signs around the Art Center — “Temporary Mess, Continual Progress” — and it’s true! We’ve been hard at work sprucing things up and making our space more welcoming than ever. After our September upgrades, community member Andy Ulven generously stepped forward with a donation that helped us keep the momentum going—thank you, Andy! With his support, we brightened up the classroom by painting the ceiling and then turned our attention to the kitchen, giving it a fresh, inviting look while tackling some long-overdue plumbing repairs. As a special touch, the children at our October Parents’ Night Out created heartfelt thank-you notes to show their appreciation for Andy’s generosity. His contribution continues to make our Art Center a more beautiful and inspiring place for everyone! Finally, while we’re thanking those who’ve stepped up to volunteer, a huge shout-out goes to Harold Wood, our plumbing master extraordinaire, for lending his expertise and helping us tackle repairs, and to Glenn Austin for sharing his amazing woodworking skills to adapt and install from reclaimed cabinet doors. Also there are new faces in the Borland Community Arts Space - thank you to Michelle Isaksen, Carolyn Austin, and Terra Chapek for volunteering to be ambassadors of the space! We’re so grateful for everyone who continues to support and believe in the growth of our Art Center—your time, talent, and generosity keep our creative community thriving!
