Save the Date: Annual Holiday Party – December 7th!

Our Annual Holiday Party is coming up Saturday, December 7th, and we’d love for you to join us! This festive event is a time to celebrate our year, officially vote in our board leaders, and enjoy delicious refreshments and holiday cheer. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow artists, community members, and local families as we celebrate another year of creativity and community. And you don’t have to be a member to join the party — so come kick off the holiday season with us!

A New Fund for Accessible Arts Programming

The Silverton Arts Association is proud to partner with Robert Foster’s friends, family, and associates to create the Robert Foster Accessible Arts Fund — supporting accessible arts programming in our rural community of Silverton, Oregon.

This fund honors Robert’s longtime work as an animator and a former board member of the Silverton Arts Association by helping support the Association’s successful Art for All program. 

Art for All subsidizes the cost of classes and art supplies at our local Art Center, ensuring that students receive top-quality instruction and supplies at greatly reduced cost. Thanks to regional partners like Oregon Community Foundation and donors like you, our arts programming serves not only adults, but over 1,000 youth per year, many of whom have no dedicated art programs in their public schools.

A celebration of life potluck for Robert is planned for Sunday, Nov. 17, 1 to 3 p.m. at Silverton Senior Center on Westfield Street. All are welcome.

Inspire the Next Generation of Artists – Join Us as a Teaching Artist!

Imagine sharing your skills, techniques, and artistic philosophy with students who are hungry for creative expression. You could be the one who lights that initial spark in a budding artist, who gives a young person the confidence to create freely, or who supports an adult rediscovering their passion. Not only will you deepen your own practice through teaching, but you’ll also be building a lasting legacy in our artistic community.

The Silverton Art Association is committed to making art accessible and inspiring to everyone in our area. We provide a supportive environment and safe place to create art. Whether you’re interested in leading a one-time workshop or an ongoing class series, we would love to collaborate with you to bring your vision to life.
