ABOUT US

Picture
Since 1963, the Silverton Arts Association has existed to nurture, exhibit, and promote art in and around Silverton, Oregon. We're a 501 (c)(3) focused on serving the creative needs of our local community. If you have a passion for the arts and would like to get involved, please reach out to us! We welcome any relationship that strengthens the creative heart of our town.

We do the majority of our work through Silverton's Art Center, located beside beautiful Coolidge McClaine Park. There, we host a dedicated community arts space and offer arts-based programming.

The Arts Association is also responsible for running the Silverton Arts Festival -- a beloved event which celebrates the virtuoso talents of our finest local and regional artists.

To find put what's on our schedule, check our Classes and Programming page, or stop by the Borland Gallery, currently open Wednesday-Sunday, 10am-1pm. Our resident artists are there to answer questions. Families and visitors with children are also welcome to make art with our free bins of kid-friendly art supplies...or just pour yourself some coffee/tea, take a seat in our comfy living area, and watch our artists work. There's so many ways to get involved!

Anne Pinkowski -- Programming Director

Anne is an artist who couples found objects with neon. Yup - like the neon you see in neon signs! She has exhibited nationally, winning numerous awards for her creative sculptural works.

In addition to the fine art sculptures that she exhibits, Anne works in both mosaic and stained glass. She jokes that her walls were full and she needed to transition to making public art and work that can be displayed in her windows.
