Sculpture/Glass/3D
Affordable and approachable local art, wall decor and beauty products.
I believe that art and beauty should be accessible to everyone, that is why I create one-of-a-kind art and wall decor that can begin a collection, or add to an existing one. Beauty products are hand-made and sourced from local ingredients (often flowers and herbs from my own back yard!). Products completely organic and natural, always free of anything naughty. A great gift or treat for yourself. It is my greatest delight to create and to have my work bring beauty and enjoyment into the lives of others. |

Wildflower FusingBooth 49
Sculpture/Glass/3D
I began experimenting with glass fusing in November of 2006. From the first class I was hooked on glass. I enjoy creating functional and decorative pieces that bring color and light to your home and garden.
I work at my home studio in Gresham, Oregon. My glass is purchased from a local manufacturer. The process to create one piece can involve several firings over many hours. This involves cutting, torch-working pieces to add to the project, assembly, firing multiple times in the kiln, and finally cold-working as needed to create a quality product and finish. I want to share the peace and joy I get from my creations with my customers and with those who take the time to look. I hope you enjoy my work. |

We have a two booths, presenting at festivals and artisan markets throughout the year, and we sell hats online. By design we are too small to sell hats wholesale, ours is a personal connection.

Textiles/Clothing
I am a professional Artist from Japan, now based in Oregon. I has been working with Traditional Japanese Textile Techniques, KATAZOME, BINGATA, and SHIBORI since 2011. Historically, these techniques have been used to make KIMONOS. I instead use these techniques to make cloth fine art, inspired by Miracle Moments with nature. All my Artworks for sale are Original. BINGATA and KATAZOME both start with making a hand-cut stencil. Placing the stencil on cloth, I make a resist using rice paste, and hand-paint each work using natural pigments or by traditional indigo dye processes. My SHIBORI work is a smaller part of my presentation. These are organic hemp sarongs dyed with indigo, their white patterns are a "hand sew and cut away" dye resist process.

I work in oil paint on gessoed canvas. Lately, I have been focusing on flowers, which I photograph and then paint from the photographs. I also work en plein aire, usually for several days at the same location so the paintings are larger than most plein aire work in oils.
I also make handmade prints, chiefly Linoleum Block Reductions. This work is focused on musicians, whom I draw during performance. Back in the studio, I strive to capture something of the music in visual terms with color and patterning. |

|
My Art MakerBooth 37
PAINTING/ILLUSTRATION/2D
My work has always been focused on the fundamental values of sustainability. My latest body of work began in 2015 with the notion of recycling trees. I began collecting different types of paper and used the recycled paper to cut out trees. I explored sewing and gluing the cut out trees onto other recycled papers. This practice evolved into me questioning how the products are made and the impact I have on the earth. My landscapes start morphing into hands and feet, then the whole body. My focus is to challenge my audience to think about the connections they have with the earth, how products are made, while encouraging them to think about ways we can replace what we use.
