Art for Adults - Classes & Workshops

art adult classesSilverton Arts Association has been providing quality arts instruction in the community of Silverton for more than 3 decades. Making up the other half of the Silverton Arts Center are the Greenough classroom and Park House. Here we sponsor art-related classes and workshops for the community. In the past, we have had classes ranging fromlife drawing, portrait painting, and woodcarving to printmaking and watercolors.

We are thrilled to announce increased offerings for our Adult Class program. We've added new well-known, respected and talented artists: Lori Webb - painting; Celia Stapleton - fiber arts; Jason Laney - pottery; Barry Shapiro - Photography. We've also added new venues. You may choose between 6 week classes or our newest "Studio Sampler" which lets you delve into one art-full weekend with 3 different art genres to try.

Artists, come to improve your skills, try out a new medium or technique, and be challenged to look at your work in a new way. Beginners, don’t be afraid to try something new! Van Gogh didn’t start painting until his late 20’s and produced most of his work in the last 2 years of his life!
