Meet our Class Instructors

Dawn Hemstreet has worked with jewelry for about 15 years starting with beading. In 2010 I took my first metal smithing class at Oregon College of Arts & Crafts. I have been creating jewelry with both metal clay & metal smithing techniques since. In May I became a level one certified instructor through Art Clay world & have given 4 classes since then. I love the artistic potential of metal clay and the accessibility that this medium gives to almost anyone. I believe that creativity is universal & that making something that can reflect your inner beauty can be life changing.

Glenda Goodrich "GG" is a mixed media artist and SoulCollage TM facilitator who enjoys helping others find their journey toward wholeness through creativity. Students describe GG's teaching style as welcoming, open, warm, and supportive. Through her teaching and guidance people find simple and joyful ways to awaken creativity and find passion in life.

Hilda Kleiman is a professor at Mount Angel Seminary, writer and artist. She has created some beautiful icons including the artwork below. Hilda teaches iconography at the Mount Angel Abbey to the seminarians.

Helen Bouchard works primarily from life, striving to extract truth and beauty in all things through oil painting, in order to cultivate joy and wonder within the human spirit. She received training at the Juliette Aristides Classical Painting Atelier in Seattle, since then winning awards and scholarships for her merits. One of them to the Florence Academy of art in Italy where she studied landscape painting. Helen currently lives and works in Silverton Oregon, where she takes portrait commissions, teaches classes, workshops and private lessons.

Occasionally the Silverton Arts Association may find it necessary to cancel a course or workshop due to low enrollment or other scheduling conflicts. If this occurs, registered students will be contacted and allowed to transfer to another class or be refunded the full course tuition and any additional fees.

Students will receive a full refund of tuition and fees if the request to withdraw is no later than seven days prior to the first class session. A request to withdraw from a course less than seven days prior to the first class session will not be eligible for tuition and fee refunds.

If you register for a class or workshop within seven days of the class, the cancellation policy will automatically forfeit your right to a refund if you then withdraw from the class. By registering and paying for the class you are agreeing to this cancellation policy.
